To clean the dust in the crevices of your car you should combine different methods and use different tools. Examples include using vacuuming equipment, cleaning with a crevice brush, steam cleaning and using a microfibre towel wrapped around a popsicle stick.

Using vacuuming equipment

Using vacuum equipment is probably the best way to clean all the cracks and crevices in your car. If the suction is strong enough, all the dirt will come out of the crevices. So, suck out all the dirt and then wipe it off with a microfibre towel. Don't forget to use some interior cleaner for better results.

Use a steam cleaner

A steam cleaner is one of the best tools for removing stubborn stains. It can help you clean many things inside your car. It can also come to clean crevices and other hard-to-reach areas on the dashboard of your car.

The steam loosens up the dirt and grime, so it is easier to clean. Afterwards, simply wipe away the dirt with a clean microfibre towel.

Using the crevice brush

A second way to clean dirt from crevices is to use a crevice brush or toothbrush. Spray some internal cleaner onto the brush and agitate the area until all dirt and dust is removed from the gap. Afterwards, wipe the area with a clean microfibre towel.

For some areas, you may need to make several passes to clean everything. Simply repeat this operation until you have removed all dirt and dust. Alternatively, if you don't have any brushes, the brush I recommend for this task is the high quality crevice brush from auto detailing.

Use a microfibre towel wrapped around a popsicle stick

Wrap a microfibre towel around a thin stick for very small gaps and cracks. This is also a good way to clean car vents.

Usually you need some thin microfibre towels so that it can get deep into the crevices. Wrap the microfibre towel towel around a popsicle stick and gently wipe the cracks and crevices until you have cleaned all the dirt and grime. You can even use your fingers if you can't find a suitable thin stick, but it's hard to reach into all the little crevices.

Tip: You can combine these four methods to achieve the best results

1. Vacuum the car first

2. Use a steam cleaner to remove the dirt

3. Wrap a microfibre cloth around a popsicle stick and try to clean the crevices further

4. Spray some cleaner on the brush and wipe the crevices until all dirt and dust is removed

5. Wipe the area with a clean microfibre towel
